[Haven Watch](https://havenwatch.org/) was formed *"after witnessing firsthand what happens when people are released from ICE detention centers in Minnesota, often traumatized, without phones, IDs, transportation, or even proper clothing in extreme cold. What began as providing emergency support like phones, coats, and rides has quickly grown into something much larger."*

**[The National Immigration Law Center](https://www.nilc.org/donate)** has been around for almost 50 years and is *"dedicated to advancing and defending the rights and opportunities of low-income immigrants and their loved ones."*  They represent the rights low-income immigrants across the country.  NILC defends those rights through litigation, "know your rights" trainings, advocacy in congress and partnering with communities all across the country.

Just 24 hours after being hospitalized, he was sent back to the detention center and then deported immediately afterwards.
